Deste matrimónio nasceu Afonso Martins, contemporâneo dos Reis D. Sancho I e D. Afondo II, senhor das quintas de Lobão e de Rebelo pai de Vasco Afonso casado com D. Maria Anes da terra de Santa Maria. Foi seu filho Rui Vasques R. que parece ter sido o primeiro que tomou o apelido, por ser senhor do couto e Casa de R. Era fidalgo
