Ancient and illustrious German family, of clear and ancestral virtue, that has worldwide spread, over the centuries. According to what has been handed down, this family is originally from Bohemia but in ancient times moved to Germany. The first settlements are found in Baden-Württemberg, as early as the 15th century, but branches of this family also flourished in Rhineland, Palatinate, Bavaria and other German regions. Tradition has it that it belonged to the landed nobility, resulting from fiefs received as a reward for military exploits. The first family member we know of is a Konlin that in 1479 was an administrator in Gaisburg. Moreover this family, in all ages, always stood out, thanks to the prominent figures which gave birth, in the public service, in the liberal professions and in the military service.
