Ancienne et très noble famille de Tuscia, de vertu claire et ancestrale, répartie au cours des siècles dans diverses régions d'Italie. Il a d'abord vécu à Viterbe d'où il est ensuite passé à Rome. Au XVIe siècle, de nombreuses personnalités illustres ont fleuri, notamment: le notaire public Emilio Recchia et Angelo Recchia, citoyen romain, avocat et lieutenant du sénateur de Rome, en 1531, et Baldovino del Monte, frère du pape Jules III, en 1550. Oui alors rendu qu'une branche de cette famille s'est déplacée vers le nord de l'Italie et que, en 1778, elle appartenait au conseil noble de Vicence. Angelo et Alberto Recchia veulent avoir été, par l'impératrice Marie-Thérèse d'Autriche, décorés du titre de comtes de Mantoue, avec un diplôme du 18 septembre 1743, non transmissible. Une autre branche de la famille Recchia a également prospéré noblement dans les Abruzzes. Il a d'abord vécu à Catignano puis s'est installé
