Un dottor Vincenzo fu proconservatore in Militello Val di Noto nell'anno 1758 e tale carica tenne nel 1773 un dottor Gaetano Maria; un Alfio Maria, con privilegio del 3 maggio 1777 ottenne concessione del titolo di barone delli Insiti; un barone dottor Gaetano fu proconservatore in Militello dal 1786 al 1800. Con D. M. 20 maggio 1901 il signor Vincenzo, di Antonio di Gaetano, nato in Militello il 20 luglio 1847, ottenne riconoscimento del titolo di barone di Linziti. La famiglia è iscritta nel Libro d'Oro della Nobiltà Italiano e nell'Elenco Ufficiale Linziti, in persona di Vincenzo, di Antonio, di Gaetano. Col titolo di nobile dei baroni di Linziti, in persona di Francesco, di Domenico di Giacinto.
