Ancient Piedmontese family, originally from Savigliano, which has spread over the centuries in various regions of Italy. Carlo-Alberto, King of Sardinia, with license letters 27 Jun. 1835, he conferred on Giovanni Regis, collateral of the R. Camera de 'conti the title and dignity of count, transmissible to his male descendants in the firstborn line; Vittorio-Emanuele II, King of Sardinia, created him senator of the kingdom.
