En Sicilia floreció una familia que gozó de nobleza en Palermo y Messina y de la cual notamos un senador Antonino de Palermo; un Sebastiano que ocupó el mismo cargo en dicha ciudad en 1595-96; un Stefano y un Pasquale anotados en el noble maestro de Mollica 1600, 1606; un Francesco que, con el privilegio otorgado el 26 de julio ejecutado el 30 de octubre de 1637, obtuvo el título de marqués de Gallidoro; un Giambattista que era senador de Messina; un Antonino que, con el privilegio otorgado el 24 de diciembre de 1648 ejecutado el 16 de junio de 1649, obtuvo el título de príncipe de San Pietro y fue senador de Messina; un Diego que, con privilegios exigibles el 14 de mayo de 1655, recibió el título de marqués de Camporotondo; Charles que fue senador de Messina en 1671-1672. No sabemos si el Sr. Bartolo tiene alguna conexión
