Esta ilustre família recebeu o nome de Strozza, que vive em 1260 e filho de Ubertino, de origem popular, que teve uma participação tão e tão gloriosa na história política, literária e artística de Florença, a quem deu 94 pontos de liberdade e 16 gonfalonieri da justiça.
