La Famiglia R. fù pur nobile, e antica in Palermo concorrente nè predetti uffitij di Giurato, è di Capitano. Vedesi nell'anno 1308 Antonio R. Giurato; nel 1317 Leonardo R. nel 1330 Giovanni R. , è nel 1333 Flavio R., la cui moglie fù Almerina de Algerio figlia di Algerio d'Algerio, che fù Pretor di Palermo nel 1335. Sigismondo R. nel 1523 i posteri de predetti poscia si dispersero in altre Città, e Terre del Regno. Originaria di Pisa. Un Simone era banchiere in Palermo nel 1441-1445; un Giacomo nel 1448 era nominato pubblico mediatore; un Giovan Antonio Sigismondo e Giovan Battista con privilegio dato a 7 febbraio esecutoriato a 28 maggio 1517 ottennero la concessione del mare di Termini per costruirvi una tonnara; un Sigismondo fu senatore in Palermo nel 1523-24; un Giuseppe tenne la stessa carica in detta città nel 1561-62-63; un Vincenzo fu giudice pretoriano in Palermo
