Famiglia di Venezia, che acquistò ricchezze con le bonifiche dei terreni nelle valli veneziane, intorno alla metà del secolo XIX. Come riconoscimento dei meriti di questa famiglia, il Governo Austriaco, concesse a Giuseppe la nobiltà dell'Impero Austriaco, con diploma 15 maggio 1855. Il figlio di questi, Antonio, nominato senatore, ebbe anche per grazie la croce d'onore e devozione dell'Ordine di Malta. Giuseppe, attuale rappresentante della famiglia, ebbe personalmente il titolo di conte con R. D. motu proprio del 16 dicembre 1926 e RR. LL. PP. 17 marzo 1927. La famiglia è iscritta nel libro d'oro della Nobile Italiano coi titolo di nobile dell'Impero Austriaco (maschi e femmine) e conte (pers.), in persona di Giuseppe, nato a Venezia il 26 giugno 1877, figlio di Antonio di Giuseppe, sposato con Amelia Pigazzi. Sorelle:Teresa in Canossa e Maria in Lucheschi. Altro ramo. Famiglia cagliese, che ottenne di essere ascritta alla Nobiltà di Fossombrone
