Família ilustre originária da Espanha. A Cândida diz que desceu de Amerio, senhor do Castelo Reverterio, filho de Buscardo, e que desceu dos marquês de Luxemburgo. Passou para a Catalunha com o Reverter de Revertera, visconde de Barcelona, dos condes de Soccaglia, e se estabeleceu em Nápoles no século XVI, onde foi adicionada ao assento de Capouana em 1717; e, portanto, atribuídos ao patrocinado napolitano. Ele gozava de nobreza em Siena e Sicília. Foi recebido por justiça na SMO de Malta, em 1619, com Girolamo e Filippo (Ordem do arqu. Malta 4671); em 1750, na pessoa de Giacomo della Salandra (Arch. Order malta 4690); e em 1766 com outro Giacomo (Grande Magistério da Ordem de Malta, Roma, Árvores Genealógicas nº 337). Don Giovanni Alfonso foi vice-rei da Sardenha para Alfonso de Aragão; Conselheiro de Estado Francisco no Reino de Nápoles em 1532. Decorado com o título de Duque de Salandra
