Antica ed assai nobile famiglia piemontese, con residenza in Bra, di chiara ed avita virtù, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia. Secondo quanto ci viene tramandato, il capostipite di tal famiglia sarebbe un Girardino, confratello della SS. Trinità a Bra, che viveva agli inizi del secolo XVI. In ogni modo, la chiara nobiltà della famiglia è testimoniata dalla presenza, della sua blasonatura, nella pregevole opera di Antonio Manno, "Il Patriziato Subalpino", volumi I e II, Firenze, 1895-1906. Ad un Bartolomeo Reviglio (nato 1618), che fu professore e protomedico, venne concessa la nobiltà, con conferma di arme ed inquartamento di essa, il 6 agosto 1659. I Guigono, da Grasse, nel Nizzardo, signori di Malaussena, Revest, Todone e consignori di Cainea, si estinsero nei Reviglio da Bra, che ne inquartarono le armi per patenti del 1659. Il figlio del predetto Bartolomeo, Francesco Isoardo (1660-1679), fu padre di Francesco Isoardo
