Famiglia oriunda da Vercelli, alla quale appartenne l'avvocato Eusebio, di Pietro, he fu tesoriere di Vercelli (1793). Da costui nacque l'avvocato Teodoro (nato a Vercelli, 9 novembre 1806, defunto Roppolo, 25 ottobre 1883), il quale, avendo sposato Teresa, del generale conte Filiberto Appiani, succedette nel titolo di conte al suocero, che non avendo avuto prole mascolina aveva ottenuto, con PP. del 24 settembre 1833, l'estensione del titolo comitale alla figlia unigenita Teresa ed al di lei marito. Fu suo figlio, fra gli altri, Adolfo (nato Vercelli, 13 ottobre 1836), che fu generale, aiutante di campo del re Vittorio Emanuele II e fece la campagna del 1859, meritandosi una medaglia d'argento. Sposò (1862) Amy du Johan Lang, e da queste nozze nacque Maria Fede (nata Livorno, 5 maggio 1863), la quale sposò (1893) Tomaso di Lewis Cubitt. Con R.D. motuproprio 21 dicembre 1902, e successive RR. LL. PP. del 3 maggio
