Fu della medesima consorteria, che l'altre antecedenti, la famiglia de' Gamurrini, e R., che tutte due vengono generate da Ricovero secondo, figliuolo di Giunta di Bencivenne di Quarata, che così si torva in tutte le scritture rimarcato non solo Bencivenne, ma tutti i suoi descendenti s'intitolarono di Quarata, per memoria della patronanza di detta Terra antichissima, che fino a Mariotto, che fioriva dle 1440. tutti si chiamarono di Quarata, cioè dal 1180. fin'al 1480. i cui figliuoli furono da Gamurrino G., essendo Gamurrino, il sopranime di Mariotto lor padre, come si vede alle Pecore della Cancelleria Priorale d'Arezzo. Ricovero secondo genero Sozzo, e Pietro, che ambedue questi andarono ad abitare in Siena, e Pietro ebbe due figliuoli, M. Ricovero, e M. Niccolò di cui se ne vedono memorie infinite nell'Archivio dello Spedale, e della Chiesa della Scala, di detta città di Siena, e seguita l'albero, e genealogia de' Ricoveri di
