Famiglia molto antica in Verona, trovandosi in vecchi annali nominati al 1252 il notajo Righetto, decapitato al tempo di Ezzelino, il medico Righetto nel 1344, e gli eredi di Bernardo Righetti nel 1375. Nel 1450 questa famiglia fu aggregata al Consiglio nobile, e diede Angelo cavaliere nel 1519 e Jacopo podestà di Peschiera nel 1606. Un'altra famiglia omonima fu anticamente in Verona, dalla quale uscirono Righetto figlio di Brunoro cavaliere di Comune nel 1569, ed Orazio aggregato al nobile Consiglio nel 1600. Lo stemma nobiliare della famiglia Righetta si blasona così: Inquartato di rosso o di verde; colla fascia d'argento attraversante sull'inquartatura. Alias: D'azzurro, ad un cane assiso al naturale, sinistrato da un ceppo di verde in palo, collarinato di rosso, il collare attaccato ad una catena d'oro movente da fianco destro dello scudo, il tutto sostenuto da una terrazza dello stesso.
