Antica ed assai nobile famiglia veneta, con residenza nella città di Verona, al cui Consiglio nobile risulta aggregata sin dal 1450, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse reioni d'Italia. Nei vecchi annali veronesi trovasi nominati, già nell'anno 1252, il notaio Righetto, decapitato al tempo di Ezzelino, il medico Righetto, nel 1344, e gli eredi di Bernardo, nel 1375. La famiglia, inoltre, si illustrò con Angelo, cavaliere nel 1519, e con Jacopo, podestà di Peschiera nel 1606. Altro ramo. Agiata famiglia veronese, distintasi con un Righetto, del fu Brunoro, cavaliere di Comune nel 1569, e con un Orazio, aggregato al nobile Consiglio nel 1600. Un'altra famiglia omonima fu anticamente in Verona, dalla quale uscirono Righetto, figlio di Brunoro, cavaliere di Comune nel 1569, ed Orazio, aggregato al nobile Consiglio nel 1600. Altra famiglia.
