Famiglia oriunda da Marzio (Varese), venuta poscia in Torino, alla quale appartenne Paolo Felice (defunto 1780), che fu padre di Paolo, che fu console generale di Sardegna in Francia, Gaspare che fu dottore di leggi e Ignazio. Da quest'ultimo si originò la linea di S.Albino. Alessandro Righini (nato 1750 c., defunto roma 1804), fu applicato all'ufficio del soldo (1775), divenne vice conservatore delle strade e dei ponti (1779), mastro uditore (1793), ed acquistò da Filiberto Arnoldi, il feudo di S. Georges, di cui fu investito il 5 febbraio 1793 col titolo signorile e successivamente col titolo baronale il 6 marzo 1795. Sposò Giuseppa Badia e da queste nozze nacque Giuseppe (nata Torino, 18 febbraio 1781, defunta ivi, 27 gennaio 1871), che fu tenente generale e governatore di Novara e di Alessandria (1838).
