Da Berto di Rinciari, di Arrigo Rinciari, ebbe origine la famiglia dei Rinciari- Berti, che dette alla patria sette priori e non si ebbero più notizie dal XV secolo. Di essa furono eredi i Davanzati, i Rucellai, i Bagnesi ed i Capponi. Altro ramo. Nerio fu uno degli ambasciatori mandati al Pontefice Urbano IV nel 1263. Valerio scrisse una cronaca di Bologna dal 1520 al 1613. D'argento, al monte di tre cime di verde, movente dalla punta, sormontato da un albero al naturale, afferrato da un destrocherio vestito di rosso, movente dal fianco sinistro dello scudo. La presenza del motto nella bibliografia documentata della famiglia ci conferma l'avita nobiltà raggiunta della casata. Infatti l'origine del motto risale a circa il XIV secolo e deve essere ricercata in quei detti arguti che venivano scritti sui vessilli o bandiere dei cavalieri, esposti alle finestre delle locande in cui questi alloggiavano, in occasione
