Diese Familie, in der sie immer die Obersten Richter von ihr genoss, war frei von altem Adel in der Republik Genua; Sein Ursprung kann aus der sehr edlen Landi-Familie von Bologna abgelesen werden, die dann nach Piacenza ging, das 1000 Jahre des Herrn 1000 Jahre alt war. Einige Zeit später genoss sie das Amt des Konsuls und der ersten Magistrate dieser Republik. Es handelt sich um die Riparola-Geburt der Adelsfamilie Landi in Bologna, von wo aus sie nach Piacenza überging und von dieser Stadt in den inneren Kriegen Italiens 108 Jahre lang im Gebiet von Castel Riparolo fortgeführt wurde, bis Gio: Pietro Riparolo von Visconti ausgerottet wurde Um die Turrianer beschützt zu haben, starb er 1220 mit seiner ganzen Familie und seinem Reichtum im Genuesato. Dafür wurde das oben erwähnte Schloss Riparolo von Visconti an Gio vergeben: Antonio Riparolo, der Vater von Gio: Augustino und Vorfahr des andere Gio: Antonio
