Si verifica esser la Riparola parto della nobilissima Famiglia Landi di Bologna, donde passò poi in Piacenza, e da questa Città nelle guerre intestine d'Italia, avendo continuato nel dominio di Castel Riparolo 108. anni, finche Gio: PIetro Riparolo debellato da' Visconti per haver protetto i Turriani, se ne passò con tutta la sua famiglia, e ricchezze nel Genuesato nel 1220. Per il che il predetto Castello Riparolo fù da Visconti concesso à Gio: Antonio Riparolo, che fù padre del Gio: Augustino, e avo dell'altro Gio: Antonio nominati nel privilegio
