Un Niccolò, di ser Goro, era stato gonfaloniere di giustizia in Arezzo nel 1456, e la stessa onorevolissima carica avevano avuta suo figlio Mariotto, nel 1515, ed il nipote capitano Alessandro, nel 1606, al quale in quell'anno fu, dal Magistrato Municipale patrio, riconosciuta la nobiltà civica. Dal matrimonio di lui con Porzia Pezzoni, nacque Nicola, parimente gonfaloniere nel 1666, che dalle sue nozze con Maria Balducci, ebbe Alessandro, marito di Marta Mauri e padre di Camillo, gonfaloniere di Arezzo nel 1756, il quale con decreto 25 luglio 1757 otteneva l'ascrizione alla nobiltà aretina. La famiglia è iscritta nell'Elenco Ufficiale Nobiliare Italiano col titolo di nobile di Arezzo (mf.) in persona dei disc. da Camillo, di Alessandro, di Nicola. Altro ramo.
