Antica famiglia decurionale di Pavia; ebbe sepolcro gentilizio nella chiesa di S. Primo, con arma, sin dal 1503. Massimiliano, Gerolamo e Luigi furono riconosciuti nella nobiltà nel 1780 e 1788 dall'I.R. Tribunale Araldico di Lombardia, e l'arma loro, sopra descritta, fu delineata nel Codice Araldico. La nobiltà fu riconfermata nel 1816. La famiglia è iscritta nell'Elenco Ufficiale Nobile Italiano coi titoli di nobile (maschi e femmine) trattamento di don e donna, ed è rappresentata da Mario, di Carlo, di Giovanni Battista, nato a Milano 7 maggio 1900. Fratelli: Emma, nata a Milano 25 novembre 1896, sposato a Milano 22 maggio 1925 con Emilio Oldoni; Giasone, nato a Milano 16 giugno 1903, sposato con Margherita Abbiati, da cui il figlio Aldo, nato a Tradate il 31 luglio 1926. Zii: Costanza, nata a Pavia 18 dicembre 1856; Alessandro, nato a Pavia I° giugno 1862, sposato 8 novembre 1894 con la nobile Cesarina
