Nos las proporciona cronista tan autorizado como mosén Jaime Febrer, quien menciona en sus Trovas a Guillermo R. y a Pedro de R. Del primero dice: "Guardaba el castillo de Montesa este valeroso soldado de fortuna, natural de Francia, en ocasión que el rey de Castilla, con dañado intento, vino a conquistarlo con un grande ejército: pero la vigilancia de Guillermo de R. supo sufrir los combates del rey, obligándole a levantar el sitio, y adquirió por esta acción el renombre de Roca el de Montesa". Del segundo escribe: "Pedro R. mandaba la gente de Carlada, lugar de Cataluña, cuando se juntó en Orihuela (Alicante), el ejército del rey, y pasó a Murcia contra los rebeldes a don Alfonso. Estando en Caudete, le cortó de revés el gargero
