Antica ed illustre famiglia, originaria dell'Altopiano d'Asiago, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia. L'origine di tal cognominizzazione, al dir di illustri genealogisti, sarebbe rinvenibile in un patronimico, la cui prima attestazione risale al XIII secolo, nel territorio di Enego. Successivamente, lo si rinviene a Foza, quindi a Gallio, e poi, infine, ad Asiago, ove il cognome si diffonde in modo permanente, tanto da dare il proprio nome ad una contrada: la Contrada Rodeghieri, la quale si trova ai piedi del monte Catz. Tal casato, ivi, inoltre, nel corso dei secoli, sempre si distinse, per gli elevati personaggi, a cui diede i natali. Tra questi, ricordiamo: Andrea Rodeghiero, uno dei governatori di Asiago che, il 13 giugno 1579, come testato dal notaio vescovile Lodovico Graziani, chiese al Vescovo di Padova Federico Cornelio, in visita ad Asiago, di accordare agli uomini del Comune il diritto di patronato della Chiesa
