Giacomo Rodino Cu dottissimo Vescovo di Savona nel XV secolo, e dopo lui la famiglia venne investita in feudo dalla mensa episcopale di Albenga dei beni e della commenda di S. Siro. Un altro individuo di questa famiglia, reputatissimo giureconsulto, si acquistò molta fama nella celebre congiura di Giulio-Cesare Vacchero nel 1625
