Ancient and very noble family, born from Castognole Monferrato, moved to live in Casale, called Roggeri or Rogeri, which spread over the centuries in various regions of Italy. Francesco Maria, who was a lawyer in Casale, then senator (1703-11) and president of the Senate of Mantua, had as a gift from Gio. Battista Vialardi portions of Villanova Monferrato, of which feud was invested, with the noble title, on September 4 1734 his son, the lawyer Piero Maria.
