Antica e nobilissima famiglia milanese. Diede decurioni, dottori di collegio, membri del tribunale di provvisione; conti palatini, cavalieri di Santo Stefano, di S. Giacomo gerosolimitani, ciambellani, consiglieri segréti, mastri di campo e cardinali. Ebbe il feudo di Masate nel 1696 e su esso titolo marchionale nel 1713. Altro ramo. Antica e nobile famiglia della Sardegna detta Roma o de Roma insignita del titolo di marchesi di Santa Maria. Altro ramo. Nobile famiglia di antica tradizione originaria di Susa in Piemonte. Altro ramo. Famiglia antica, originaria di Roma, trapiantata in Vicenza nel 1388 da un Giovanni-Regolo, chiarissimo dottore di leggi e facondo oratore; un Galeazzo nel 1497 fu deputato ad utilia. Fu aggregata al Consiglio nobile di Vicenza nel 1759.
