Una familia de este apellido tuvo casa muy principal en la villa de Palomares del Campo, del partido judicial de Huete y provincia de Cuenca, y a esa casa pertenecía en principios del siglo XVII Basilio R., marido de doña Francisca Lerín y Castellanos, naturales de Palomares del Campo, y padres de El Teniente de Maestre de Campo General Felipe R. Lerín, natural de Madrid, que contrajo matrimonio con doña Antonia de Valdés Ruiz del Aguila, natural de Lima, Perú (hija de Pedro de Valdés y de doña Antonia Ruiz del Aguila, naturales de Madrid), naciendo de esa unión Juan R. Valdés, natural de Lima y Caballero de la Orden de Santiago, en la que ingresó el 27 de Agosto de 1691. Casó con María Margarita de Herrera y Zapata, y fueron vecinos de Santa, en el Nuevo Reino de Granada. Procrearon a Felipe R. y Herrera, nacido en la ciudad de Santa Fe, y falleció en la de Santiago de los Caballeros de Guatemala el 31 de Julio de 1772. Fué del Consejo de Su Majestad y Fiscal de la Real Audiencia. Casó en la Catedral de Guatemala, el 31 de Mayo de 1764, con doña Isabel María Manrique de Lara y Barba de Figueroa, natural de Guatemala (hija de Felipe Manrique de Lara y Bravo de Guzmán y doña Antonia Barba de Figueroa y Álvarez de las Asturias). Fueron padres de Felipe Tomás José Luis R. y Manrique de Lara, que contrajo matrimonio, el 16 de Marzo de 1805, en la parroquia de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, con doña Tomasa Aceituno.
