En el reinado de don Fernando I, año 1050, casó doña Urraca de R. con Garci Méndez Sorred, uno de los principales Ricohombres de aquel tiempo, fundador y tronco de la gran familia de Sotomayor, según lo afirman Pellicer en su Memorial del Marqués de Rivas y en el del Conde de Miranda, y Felipe Bernardo de Quirós en el Memorial Genealógico de la Casa de Olloniego. Reinando Alfonso VI (años 1073 a 1109), doña Toda Álvarez de R. casó con Pedro Suárez Gallego, también Ricohombre, natural de Santa María de Ortigueira (Coruña), de cuyo matrimonio procede la casa de los Marqueses de los Vélez y todo el linaje de los Fajardos, Adelantados de Murcia y Marqueses de Molina, según lo escriben Salazar de Mendoza en las "Dignidades Seglares de León", Pellicer en el Memorial del Conde de Miranda, Núñez de Castro en el de los Queipos y Felipe Bernardo
