Antica famiglia originaria di Assisi e fregiata de titolo di Signori di Rosciano (castello del territorio di Assisi) detti anche Tancredi. Fu casa molto potente, di cui un Tancredus domini Uguccionis comparisce nell'archivio del Duomo fino al 1167. Nello signore di Rosciano al servizio dell'Imperatore Federico II partì con lui alla volta di Lombardia nel 1226; Angelo di Mosciano canonico del Duomo nel 1337. A Tancredi priore fu confermata l'investitura dei castelli di Rosciano, Collemarcio e Poggio da Papa Alessandro IV nel 1255. Esso Tancredi cedè al Comune di Assisi il castello di Limigiano il 9 Giugno 1257, riserbandosi peraltro il patronato su quella chiesa di S. Angelo. Telle domicello assisano, ebbe da Urbano VI la conferma della investitura dei nominati castelli di Rosciano, Collemarcio e Poggio nel 1378. Di questa famiglia non si hanno più notizie dal 1513, ed il castello di Rosciano passò ai Signorotti di Perugia.
