The founder of this noble family was Aresmino, son of Pietro degli A. from Val Brembana in the Bergamasco. Gusmero, one of his sons, propagated the descent in Rovereto, then divided into various families. Gusmero II fought under Charles V for the conquest of Parma; Peter distinguished himself by fighting in the wars of Flanders; Panfilo, son of Gusmero II, obtained from the Imper. Maximilian II, for himself and the direct and collateral successors, diploma of nobility. Leopold II confirmed the nobility with a diploma on 29 May 1672. Nicolò, of Francesco, was commissioner of the Rovereto Castle, a judge of the Lagarina Valley for the Counts of Liectenstein, one of the town's supervisors and chancellor of the Magistrate of the Fairs of Bolzano: Carlo, historian of beautiful fame, died in Milan in 1827; and the famous Antonio, philosopher and founder of the Rosminians, who died in 1855.
