Très ancienne famille de Novazzano, anciennement appelée de Rosinis, liée aux Odescalchi par des liens parentaux, présente dans cette région depuis le XVIe siècle et qui, entre la seconde moitié du XVIIIe siècle et la première du XIXe siècle, a atteint une position de grand prestige dans le salon de la ville. Parmi les personnalités les plus célèbres, il y a certainement le comte Carlo Rossini Bononi, l'homme le plus important de Paré et aussi de Drezzo, dans la seconde moitié du XVIIIe siècle. Le comte Carlo a ensuite été remplacé par son fils Abbondio, qui a eu la malchance de voir le début de la parabole déclinante de la dynastie. Dans les cartouches du notaire de Côme Giacomo Filippo Clerici, en effet, on trouve des signes tangibles du déclin économique de la famille dans la première décennie du XIXe siècle : Abbondio a été contraint de contracter de nombreuses
