Antica e nobile famiglia della Liguria. Il commendatore G.B. di Crollalanza riporta la blasonatura di questa famiglia nei volumi del suo "Dizionario storico blasonico delle famiglie nobili e notabili italiane". Altro ramo. Nobile famiglia ennese (Castrogiovanni), come dice il Minutolo, che le dà per primo ceppo un Silvestro Rotondo. Fiorirono: un Antonio nel 1495, un altro Silvestro giurato 1525, ed un secondo Antonio capitano giustiziere 1548. Alzò per arma. D'azzurro, con nove stelle d'oro poste tre, tre e tre. Altro ramo. Famiglia di Cagliari originaria di Palermo le cui notizie risalgono al secolo XVIII. Nel 1787 ottenne il cavalierato ereditario e la nobiltà con un Giulio, gentiluomo del vicerè ed alfiere degli alabardieri; alzò per arma. Di blu alle tre teste di Leone d'oro con una freccia d'orata. Della famiglia non si hanno più notizie dal secolo XIX. Altro ramo. Altra antica e nobile famiglia ravennate.
