Familia originaria de España, que llegó a Italia en la década de 1400 y se dividió en dos sucursales, una establecida en Alessandria y la otra en Como, manteniendo el brillo y el decoro originales. Carlo Camillo, de la rama de Como, fue creado como un marqués por el emperador Carlos VI con un Diploma del 13 de septiembre de 1730, con un título de título primigenio masculino que descansa en la ciudad de Nova, cerca de Monza, habiendo sido impuesta la compra de dicho feudo y que tuvo lugar allí año siguiente con la compra de cien y más incendios. Este título fue renovado a favor de Pedro y sus descendientes, en línea de derecho de nacimiento con motu proprio de Umberto I, rey de Italia, el 14 de julio de 1879.
