Várias famílias da Ligúria tinham essa família e a tradição os atribui como lugares de origem Voltri, Chiavari e o vale Polcevera. Um deles foi atribuído ao hotel genovês de Lercari (1528) e usou o primeiro brasão de armas. Outra família, ainda existente, foi atribuída no mesmo ano ao Hotel Usodimare na pessoa dos irmãos Gio. Battista, Stefano e Vincenzo, qm. Antonio, que adotou o segundo brasão; depois são atribuídos ao Hotel Imperial usando o primeiro brasão. Finalmente, em 1698, um Antonio Giuseppe Emanuele, qm. Francesco, nascido em Voltri, foi atribuído ao Livro da Nobreza genovesa e seus descendentes continuam; usa o segundo brasão de armas.
