Antigua y muy noble familia toscana, con residencia en Florencia (Santa Maria Novella, Lion Bianco), conocida como Ruberti o Ruberto, repartida a lo largo de los siglos en diversas regiones de Italia y Europa. La clara nobleza de la familia queda confirmada por su presencia en la valiosa obra "Collezione Ceramelli Papiani", del Conde Enrico Ceramelli Papiani (Colle Val d'Elsa, 1896 - Florencia, 1976), renombrado heraldista, que se conserva en el Estado Archivos de Florencia, donde llegó por la donación realizada en 1974. Por otro lado, esta familia, en el devenir de las décadas, siempre ha logrado producir una serie de hombres que han hecho célebre su nombre, en el empleo público, en el profesiones liberales y eclesiásticas y en el servicio militar. Entre estos, sin restar nada al valor de las omisiones, se cuentan: Guido, doctor en "utroque jure", residente en Florencia, en 1511; Antonio María, médico "in utroque
