En Cataluña, Baleares y Valencia. Tuvo casa antiquísima en la villa de Pollensa, de la isla de Mallorca. El primer caballero de esta familia que hemos encontrado lo menciona mosén Jaime Febrer en sus Trovas. Se llamaba Bernardo R. y ayudó al rey don Jaime I de Aragón en la conquista del reino de Valencia. Dejó descendientes en Valencia que continuaron desde entonces establecidos allí, figurando entre ellos Gaspar de R. y su hijo José de R. Este último nació en la hoy ciudad de Gandía (Valencia) y fue armado caballero por el rey don Fernando "el Católico", con privilegio dado en Medina del Campo, el 26 de abril de 1504. De la casa mallorquina de la villa de Pollensa descendió Bartolomé R. Canaves, doctor teólogo y en ambos Derechos, elevado a la mitra episcopal de Malta el 3 de septiembre de 1757.
