Très illustre maison de la Bretagne, d'une haute antiquité, dont les premiers auteurs connus sont: Alain, chevalier, sénéchal de Quintin, mentionné dans une charte de Beauport en 1243; Eon, ratifie le traité de Guérande en 1381; Jean, fils d'Eon, échanson d'Artur, comte de Richemont, envoyé en Angleterre pour traiter de la rançon de Jean de Blois en 1387; Bertrand, arrière-petit-fils de Jean, vivant en 1479, épouse Catherine de Rosmar; Olivier, auteur de la branche du Noday, vivant en 1479, épouse Jeanne de la Motte; un lieutenant des marèchaux de France à Ploërmel. La branche de Carcouët fondue vers 1460 dans la Moussaye: Guillemot, de la paroisse de Noyol-Pontivy, franc et exempt, à la réformation de 1448, combien qu'il vende vin en détail. La branche de Cardelan fondue en 1532 dans Keralbaut; la branche de Talhouët fondue dans le Moine; la branche de Penguilly fondue dans Bahuno puis du Bouëtiez. Le seigneur du Moustoir, débouté à la réformation de 1669, ressort de Vannes; François-Gilles, conseiller au parlement en 1768, mort en 1781; un brigadier d'infanterie en 1770; un chanoine de Tréguier, fusillé à Quiberon en 1795.
