Di quest'antica famiglia reggiana abbiamo le prime notizie nel XV secolo. Nel 1498 Bernardino era notaio. Nel 1501 Pellegrino faceva parte del senato della Comunità di Reggio. Nel 1508 Bernardino era fra glia anziani della Comunità medesima. Camillo fu creato notaio dal conte Vincenzo Fontanella con rogito Erasmo Borghi 13 ottobre 1530. Fabrizio, vivente nel 1663, fu pittore. Don Basilio si fece prete nel 1691. E' ricordato come oratore sacro. Bernardino, del dott. Alessio, fu avvocato, letterato e storico. Di lui parla il Tiraboschi. Egli dice che fu avvocato dei resi dei Sant'Uffizio e del Ducal fisco in Reggio e primario custode del Pubblico Archivio. Fu studioso di lettere latine e greche e di storia patria. Postillò le storie di Reggio manoscritte del Ferretti e del Rubini. Scrisse una descrizione del Tempio della Madonna della Ghiara di Reggio ed un volume di poesie, rimaste inedite. Morì nel 1742. Fu anche
