Secondo l'illustre storiografo Bresciani i Saccaria provengono da Genova e si trasferirono a Cremona, circa nell'anno 1090. Ma dall'Albero Genealogico, con le più diligenti cure, compilato dal fu D.Giuseppe Saccaria, la famiglia non comincia che nel 1367 in Guglielmo, e dopo questo si trova: un Rafaino, Giureconsulto nel 1349 e Consigliere Segreto di Cabrino Fondulo, un Bernardo Decurione nel 1421, uno Stefanino nel 1457, un altro Bernardo nel 1474, e nel 1489 un Gian-Francesco. Quegli però che renderà per sempre eterno onore a questa Prosapia è il Ven. Antonio Maria, nato sul finire del 1502, sotto la Parrocchia di S.Donato, ora soppressa, dai Coniugi Lazzaro Saccaria ed Antonia Piscarola. Fu Egli il Fondatore primario dei Chierici Regolari, detti Barnabiti, e delle Angeliche di S.Paolo, che giunto al compimento de' Santi suoi desideri e delle sue fatiche, passò in Patria alla celeste gloria la sera del 25 Luglio 1539, con fama
