Famiglia spoletina le cui prime sicure notizie rimontano al 1155 quando, distrutta la città dal Barbarossa, uno della famiglia a nome Gregorio comparisce tra gli ostaggi presi dall'imperatore. Nel 1251 nella pace stipulatasi tra i guelfi ed i ghibellini di Spoleto, tra gli intervenuti figura anche un Giacomo e sotto gli anni 1278 e 1279 si vedono fra i podestà di Cerreto di Spoleto due suoi figliuoli, Lucchetto e Pietro. In questa famiglia nel 1755, a seguito di matrimonio, si estinsero i Travaglini, originari da Ferrara ed aggregati dal 1726 alla nobiltà spoletina, donde l'assunzione del doppio cognome ed arma. Tra i più recenti personaggi ricorderemo: Valerio che nel 1809 fu chaiamato a far parte della reputazione degli Stati Romani incaricata di recarsi a Parigi per ossequiare l'imperatore, dal quale venne nominato cavaliere della Legion d'Onore; Carlo, che nel 1904 per spiccati meriti personali ottenne da Sua Maestà Vittorio Emanuele
