Linaje burgalés. Pasó a Guipúzcoa. Tuvo casas en la ciudad de Burgos y en la villa de Villalmóndar, del Ayuntamiento de Cueva-Cardiel y partido judicial de Belorado. Ambas enlazaron y sus descendientes se apellidaron López S. Fernando Bernardo López S. y Palacios, natural de Burgos y su mujer doña Manuela María Pérez Delgado, natural de la villa de Revilla de Campos (Palencia), tuvieron este hijo Fernando López S. y Pérez Delgado, natural de Burgos, que casó con doña María S. Iñiguez. Esta señora pertencía a la casa de Sagredo de la villa de Villamóndar y era hija de Juan S. López y de doña Catalina Iñiguez de Rojas, naturales de Villamóndar. Fueron padres de Juan Manuel López S., natural de Villalmóndar, que contrajo matrimonio con doña Manuela Ramírez Noriega, natural de Granada, naciendo de esta unión Manuel López S., natural de Granada y Caballero de la Orden de Carlos III, en la que ingresó el 27 de Agosto de 1828.
