Vennero da Torcello col nome di Centranici, furono tribuni antichi, ed erano del Consiglio nel 916. Pietro, l'ultimo che si chiamò con questo cognome, fu fatto doge nel 1024 e regnò soli dieci anni. Ei fece collocare il corpo di S. Sabba abbate, portato a Venezia al tempo del suo dogato, nella chiesa di S. Antonino, poi edificò la chiesa ed il monastero, ogni anno, la vigilia di S. Marta dotandolo del suo; in memoria del qual beneficio, quando era creata al nuova badessa, il più vecchio della famiglia Salamon andava a metterla in sedia, ed il monastero, ogni anno, la vigilia di S. Marta, mandava a presentargli una rosa di seta. Filippo di Gaspare viceconte e capitano di Sebenico nel 1627; Benedetto di Alvise camerlengo e castellano nella stessa città nel 1633.
