Famiglia tra le più antiche di Verona, della quale fu podestà Bartolomeo conte da Palazzo nel 1212, e da essa discendono i conti Palazzi di Mantova e di Brescia. Nel 1216 erano giudici di Verona Bartolomeo ed Arduino; nel 1227 Giovanni uno dei fautori della fazione dei Sanbonifacio. Donato, Bonifacio e Giovanni, rimasti prigionieri nella guerra civile tra le fazioni guelfa e ghibellina, furono cacciati nelle orribili carceri della casa Zerli, ed i beni di Giovanni vennero poi confiscati dal tiranno Ezzelino. Altro Giovanni nel 1297, al tempo delle nozze di Alboino della Scala, ebbe il grado di cavaliere. Altro ramo. Antica e nobile famiglia proveniente da Nervi. Nel chiostro della demolita Chiesa di S.
