Famille originaire de Tournon, en Tarenatasia, qui s'est illustrée par des personnages distingués ayant occupé de très hautes fonctions auprès des souverains de Savoie. L'ancêtre connu est Pietro, qui en 1576 a juré allégeance au duc de Savoie. Dans l'acte d'hommage, il est classé comme noble. Son fils Eustacchio était commissaire ducal et notaire. Il épousa une demoiselle Fourrier en 1578 et de ce mariage il fut anobli avec son fils Antonio le 20 avril 1634 (confirmé le 18 décembre 1639) pour services rendus au duc de Savoie notamment lors du siège de Vercelli. Antonio, dit « de la Tour », était capitaine d'infanterie au service de Savoie, se distinguant notamment au siège de la Verrua. Il épousa Gasparda du noble Claudio de Cerisier et son fils, entre autres, fut Filiberto (baptisé le 12 février 1643 ; mort à Tourton, le 8 décembre 1708), qui fut président de la Chambre
