Antichissima famiglia di Amelia, annoverata fra le prime come facente parte nel Nobile Consiglio dei Dieci. Ebbe personaggi chiarissimi nelle armi e prelature; possedette grandi tenimenti nell'Armerino e fu proprietaria della splendida villa "La Spreta", attribuita al San Gallo. Stefano fu valoroso capitano di Orazio Baglioni; sotto Clemente VII fu uno dei prodi che strenuamente difesero Castel Sant'Angelo dalle orde del Borbone, e per soprannome di guerra aveva quello di "Cornacchia". Luca militò in Ungheria ed in Francia, fu agli ordini di Giovani Battista Savelli e per la sua perizia e valore fu nominato governatore della fortezza di Firenze per quattro anni; nel 1522 prese parte alla spedizione contro i turchi. Narciso seguì le insegne di Pier Luigi Farnese, che accompagnò in tutte le sue imprese e così pure in quella del Sole nel 1548. Pier Lorenzo fu cavaliere di Santo Stefano nel 1611.
