Esta família é originária de Pietro, um cavaleiro normando que chegou ao reino de Nápoles, seguindo as armas de Roberto Guiscardo, de quem ele concedeu o castelo de S. Felice (1018), do qual a família leva seu nome. O referido castelo em Terra di Lavoro pertenceu a Piatravairano na casa Grimaldi: A família foi recebida na SMO de Malta em 1583 com um Horace (Arch. O. Malta, proc. 4796); com Giuseppe em 25 de setembro de 1626 (Arch. Stato di Napoli, vol. 31, Priorado de Barletta); e com outro Giuseppe em 15 de maio de 1652 (Gr. Magisterium Rome 217, Priorado de Nápoles) e na Ordem da Espanha em 1544. Os membros desta família desfrutavam de nobreza em Nápoles, na sede de Montagna, em Cosenza, cujo ramo foi extinto em Cilento, Perugia e França, onde um ramo viveu em 1650. Ele possuía os feudos de Agromonte, S. Demetrio, Moliterno, etc.
