Ancient Venetian family of the Order of Secretaries and who held offices reserved for that distinct Order. A branch of the family was aggregated to the noble Council of Padua in 1762 and with Doge Pietro Grimani's ducal 16 May 1744 Venetian accounts were created, title recognized with Sovereign Resolution 29 December 1846. The family is registered in the Italian Noble Official List with the titles of count (m.), noble (mf.), in the person of Giuseppe Alessandro, Giuseppe Enrico, Andrea; Monsignor. Brother: Alberto. Marco, by Andrea. Other branch. Ancient and noble Veronese family, of which a Nicolò was progenitor in 1337. One branch transplanted to Padua, to whose noble Council it was joined in 1772, and another in Venice. With Doge Pietro Grimani's ducal of 1744, the Sanfermo were created Venetian counts, in which title they were recognized with sovereign resolution 11 October 1847.
