In 1305 Buccio de Sanguigni was conservator of Rome. Some authors have inserted card. Antonius Sanguinus who was French and of the noble Sanguin de Mendon family. The capitoline splendor has preserved the names of the following Conservatories after Buccio: Nicolò (1410), Paolo (1441), Gaspare (1511), Bernardino (1522), Pietro Paolo (1531) and Gaspare (1675). The coat of arms carved on the base of one of the dioscuri on the front of the Piazza del Campidoglio refers to the latter. The Knight Jacovacci reports the following names: 1311 Buccius Sanguineus Syndicus Camerae Urbis Romani Populi; 1401 Cola de Sanguuineis from the Montium region; 1402 Nicolaus de Sanguineis from the Pontis region; 1418 Rev. Dom. Ioannes de Sanguineis Abbas Sancti Pauli et olim Canonicus Basilicae Principis Apostolorum de Urbe; 1429 Nob. vir Sanguineus de Sanguineis, Guardianus SS.mi Salvatoris; 1463 Dom. Franciscus de Sanguineis; 1481 Strennus miles Dom. Franciscus de Sanguineis Legum Doctor
