Antica famiglia feudataria di Abruzzo, nobile di Sulmona, ricevuta nel S.M.O. di Malta nel'anno 1597 con Fabrizio; venne riconosciuta nei titoli di barone (mpr.), col predicato di Colle di Macine (mf.), con Decreto Ministeriale 20 settembre 1907. Altro ramo. Ramo secondogenito dell'omonima famiglia originaria degli Abruzzi, riconosciuta con decreto del C. del G., nel titolo di nobile di Sulmona (mf.), il 2 febbraio 1930. Altro ramo. Antica famiglia abruzzese ed una delle più cospique del patriziato di Sulmona. Fu ricevuta nell'Ordine di Malta nel 1597. Stefano arcivescovo di Capua nel 1364. Gregorio arcivescovo di Santaseverina (Calabria) circa il 1480. La B. Chiara, monaca agostiniana in Sulmona, fiorì circa la metà del secolo XV.
