Famiglia originaria di Zelbio sul lago di Como. Gaetano Tacchi (n. 1709) per ragioni di commercio si trasferì a Rovereto esercitando il commercio della seta. Giovanni Battista (1783-1855), fu assai benemerito nelle cariche civili di quella città e largamente benefico; fu creato nobile dell'I.A. col predicato di Monte Maria con Diploma dell'imperatore Francesco Giuseppe d'Austria del 28 luglio 1854 in seguito a speciale istanza del magistrato comunale di Rovereto. Il detto predicato si riferisce ad un antico Santuario di proprietà della famiglia, restaurato e riaperto al culto. Al di lui fratello Gaetano (1768-1828), Rovereto dedicò una via della città. La famiglia è iscritta nell'Elenco Ufficiale Nobiliare Italiano col titolo di nobile, pred. di Monte Maria (mf.), in persona di Giovanni Battista, n. a Rovereto il 20 giugno 1863, di Cesare, di Gio. Batta e della nobile Sofia Cobelli, sposato a Rovereto il 25 luglio 190 con Bianca Clofer. Figlio: Cesare,
